Rev. Don Gibbs

Minister to Students

In August 1999, Rev. Don Gibbs joined the staff of Woodbury Baptist Church as Minister of Youth and Children.

He is married to Nancy Gibbs, a kindergarten teacher in Peachtree City.  They have one daughter, Holley Faith and

her husband Blake.  In his first six years of ministry, Don served as Minister of Students at Rocky Mount Baptist Church

in Carrollton, GA.  He holds a BA in psychology from the University of West Georgia and a Masters of Divinity from

New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.

    Don's passion is to see children and students grow in their faith!  From leading them to take those first steps toward

salvation to organizing mission trips all over the U.S. and beyond, Don is committed to disciplining those under his care.

His favorite verse is James 1:27.

In his spare time, he enjoys time on the lake with his family and friends, slalom skiing, and wake boarding.  Bicycling

has become a recent endeavor that provides excellent conversations with the Father.  Don also enjoys working on his Dad's

farm - preferably driving a tractor.  In the fall, you can hear him cheering on the Alabama Crimson Tide to victory!
